Stichting Nobilis is a foundation which does a lot for graphic artists and for inheritance of works made by artists who are dead, so the work is protected. In a world where art often is seen as a "nice hobby" (our prime minister said so), A lot of really qualified art is thrown in the garbage container. Pieter Jonker, founder of Nobilis, told me he picked screenprints out of a container next to an artmuseum! Nobilis protect art made by artists who are not interesting enough for Art museums. They make nice books about this work too!. As this book "Siemen Dijkstra verzameld". The works in this book are collected between 1997 and 2016 by Joop Nieuwstraten, a great collector of Dutch drawingmasters. I felt honoured that he liked my work and bought it.
